New ABCD..
"Don't you have a routine?? Don't you follow a timetable??"
Students and sometimes adults have heard some taunts like this once at least..
The very first thing which strikes our mind when we hear these 'Timetable and Routine' type of words, is something which is not our cup of tea..
Who will get up before the sunrise; who's gonna go to bed the next minute when sunsets?? Hardly few.. It makes us feel as if we have to do something out of our comfort zone..
Although there are some people who take motivational videos too seriously that is sufficient to keep them motivated till they make their rigid timetable.. They sit and start penning down how their ideal timetable should appear.. Anybody who sits for the very first time, they surely will plot down the most important things (which they hardly do) and then at the end of the day, they will have their most favourite things listed.. And if they succeed in making it, they will hardly follow it for more than 3 - 4 days.. We start regretting when we don't follow.. But not everyone makes timetable just for their wall to occupy some space, they follow it persistently and this is what separates a 90% holder from a 70% holder..
Things we do is affecting our future and everybody around us.. We not studying for the test and saying Yes to other things, makes our goals more difficult to reach.. Every small thing contributes and keeps adding.. You think what may happen in 2 minutes of studying/doing useless things, but this is what bringing us close/pushes us away to/from our goals.. These act as blocks of a building..
People who are following a flexible timetable, Congratulations, you are doing something unique and heading on towards your goal.. But those who still think what we need to do, here is the strategy which I am using.. You might want to experience this :-
The ABCD Mantra
(sort the things what you do whole day first)
For Example -
You have to do these things today :-
1.) Attend family function..
2.) Study for your tomorrow's test..
3.) Play with Friends..
4.) Complete your Puzzle..
5.) Bring Vegetables from the market..
6.) Make notes for the Chapter you learned today..
A - AVOID
You do so many things throughout the day which you feel are important, but believe me, they are not.. First thing after sorting you will do is Avoid.. You have to avoid the things which you can and things which do not affect your life on higher level.. Here, it will be Number 1, attending a family function..
B - BYPASS
Now, we have to filter things which are not necessary only you have to do it..
You have to Bypass the situations.. Things which other people can do for you and the work won't be affected by who does it.. Here, we place Number 5, bringing vegetables..
C - CURVE
This stage will contain things which you may do later and are not important for that particular moment.. You will do these things on some other day.. Inshort, things which are not your priority.. You gotta take a Curve 'round the work.. Here, we make space for Number 3 and Number 4, playing with friends and completing your puzzle..
D - DO
And the last things which are left with you, we have to Do it.. You have filtered these from your whole day's duty and these were the most important ones which only you have to Do; nobody can do it for you.. Basically, you priority at the moment.. Here, Number 1 and Number 6 occupy the spots, studying for the test and making notes..
That's it..
Now you will be able to make a note of the things where you waste your time and where you utilise it the most.. But this strategy does not put full stop only after timetable purposes, you can use this in your decision making and many more situations you face in your life..
You should do it for a day (seriously) and compare with other days..
You yourself will see the results which will uplift your confidence to do more of productive things..
#ChallengeYourself..
