A 'Mom'ent..
What do you do after you finish eating?? I guess just pick up your plate and wash your hands and wipe your face with towel.. Right?? (wait for end)
Happy Mother's Day to all the women who are reading this.. Everything was going seemingly well until Saturday, when suddenly we saw what love you all should deserve everyday but receive it on this single day only.. Suddenly, children started noticing the chores she did even without making you them odd.. See, we all love our Mother and we know we do not need something like Mother's Day to thank her for all the love she has been showering even before you were born.. It doesn't matter if you use or you don't use hashtags to describe your life with Mom on social media, she will love you today more than she did yesterday anyways..
We enjoy every single time spent with her, aware of all of your secrets and what not.. Everytime you ate your favorite chocolate without her permission, she watching you from behind, getting ready you slap you softly.. Everytime you did something wrong, she became the barrier between you and your Dad.. She saved you in front of your Dad, but scolded privately.. Everytime we came home with our crying face, we all wanted her hands to wipe our tears off.. And when you were ill, she had to be on her toes, to obviously see you getting better..
Some of these only last until you are capable of taking self - care.. And when these things come to an end, we come across some different personality :-
1) You told her to wake you at 9, what you think will happen?? We all know every mother will wake her child at 7 telling them it's already 10.. And amidst the hurry, we get up stretching our hands straight away on the clock, realising we are up too early.. During holidays, the most difficult task is to wake up.. But she is aware of what tricks to use when she us tired of trying every way for making you get going for the day.. She won't waste time on waking you directly, she will enter quietly and switch off the fan and leave.. 5 mins later, when she saw you standing near her, a 'Good Morning' is ready to come..
2) Mornings seems to have something missing if the day starts without her placing tea/coffee near your bed.. It's not the tea's aroma which urges you to wake up, but the pleasing presence of hers.. We all love the road side Pani - Puris, but satisfaction lies in the 'khichdi' she cooks.. As always, you misplaced your notebook in which you wrote whole year's notes and now you are unable to find it.. You searched in your bag, over and under your study table, below your pillows, on the maze you spent most of your time and slowly in the whole room.. With all your hopes lost, you go to your Mom if she knows about it or not.. She enters your room and gives you a big smile, you are shocked 'Why is she smiling like that??' You come ahead and she points towards the maze you searched twice.. Huh, wish we also knew this magic..
(here is the end)
Remember what you had in your lunch in your childhood?? (come on, if you remember, then you are not human) Let's focus on the main part.. You remember what you did after you had your lunch?? Yes, same thing, you get up and wash your hands & face and, and?? You need something to wipe your face.. Oh yes, you know there is a towel hanging on the chair, you are taught to dry your hands using Hanky, but did we go to all those?? It's not that they were too far or something, but we had other thing too.. You don't prefer towel or hanky, but the 'Pallu of your Mother'.. As if it is hanging for you to come and wipe yourself.. You walk out of the bathroom and rush towards Mumma and grab her pallu and just rub it all over your face.. Believe me, there was no other pleasure better than doing that..
Wish we have scientists who discover Time - Machine to travel back and live those moments again..
Lastly, just a few things you do for Her -
1. Help her in her chores..
2. Divide her work..
3. Make her feel you love her everyday..
That's more than enough to make her feel contented..
Enjoy each and every MOMent.. You won't get it again probably..
